It was a day like any other day . . . No, wait, it wasn’t!

It was Halloween. 2023. The air was crisp and the skies were blue. And the half full team was busy making rounds for their Annual Halloween Crawl. Little did we know what was in store.

As they pulled up to 300 Jefferson Boulevard, their anticipation started to grow. Okay, let’s admit it, they had high expectations. How could they not? They knew this team. They knew their culture. They knew how competitive they were. They knew it was going to be good.

 

So simple, yet so creative. Would it be enough to win?

The half full crew wondered and pondered and speculated and hypothesized. But RIPIN’s fate wasn’t up to them.

Their fate was in the hands of the people

The photos were posted. The rules laid out. There were two opportunities to earn a title. Best Costume or Best Theme. Could they take home a win?

United Way was sweating it out. Would their Decades theme be enough??

Smithfield YMCA figured they were a shoe in. I mean, they had three babies in their photo. Who doesn’t love babies??

Only time would tell. Three days to be exact. And on November 3, all of the votes were tallied.

Could this be? Is this even legal? Do we need a recount?

RIPIN WON BOTH CATEGORIES?!

It was true. The people had spoken. They had won both categories. Best costume AND best theme. The award? Their prize? Was a half full pop up for both categories.

So, we put our heads together to come up with a hybrid-friendly activity that would incorporate engagement, togetherness and FUN.

And it starts NOW!
