For immediate Release:

half full, llc and Habitat for Humanity Greater Providence Team Up to Form Values-Driven Partnership

A perfect storm of for profit, nonprofit, and values-based leadership

Providence, RI – At a time of uncertainty for several small businesses and nonprofits, Providence-based half full, llc, a small business specializing in team building, retreat and mission-driven event planning services and Habitat for Humanity Rhode Island-Greater Providence (HabitatPVD) have teamed up to create a unique partnership designed to utilize the strengths of both teams, share in its common ethos of being values-driven and of service to others.

“We couldn’t be happier to partner with half full, llc as our event planner for our Corporate Sponsorship Program,” shared HabitatPVD’s Executive Director, Mark Kravatz. “Having a mission-driven partner who is experienced in the nonprofit industry manage logistics for our Corporate Build Days allows us to truly focus on our mission during the day by spending intentional time with our families and our corporate sponsors.”

Kravatz, who was appointed HabitatPVD’s Executive Director in May of 2020, has already made significant progress within the organization. Most recently, Kravatz secured a $610,000 grant in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island for HabitatPVD’s Aging in Place modification and improvement program. Designed for Rhode Islanders who are 65 or older and are dually enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid, the Aging in Place program aims to complete at least 125 home modifications within the next 24 months.

half full, llc recently received the SBA Micro Enterprise of the Year award in RI and the entire Northeast. When asked what contributed to her own success, Rebecca Twitchell, half full, llc Founder and President shared, “I believe it is a combination of trust from our clients, the quality of our work and our “do well, do good” business model. “half” is about being a for profit and the “full” is about giving back.”

Twitchell and Kravatz met over 20 years ago, have shared a values-based leadership approach, and always had a vision of partnering one day.  After several years of conversations and supporting each other’s work, both knew the time was now for collaboration after everything the two have witnessed in the country over the last year and a half.  With a shared passion for social justice and a more equitable RI, the two admit that there are several layers to their desire to partner.

“I can’t wait to watch how the story unfolds for HabitatPVD over the next several years,” Twitchell continued. “Their work is integral to the lives of so many deserving people in the greater Providence area.  We are honored that we can be part of their journey by introducing corporate teams to their mission through their sponsored build days … and the very real meaning behind their work.”
